Adventures of Rin
Privacy Policy
Last updated July 24, 2026
We collect the minimum needed to run the game, we do not sell or share your personal information, and you can delete everything yourself at any time.
What we collect
Account data: your email address, display name, and a hashed password (never the password itself). If you sign in with itch.io we store your itch.io account id and username instead of, or alongside, an email.
Game data: your characters, their save history, and the anonymous in-world traces your play leaves behind for other players.
Usage data: we run a self-hosted Umami instance for anonymous page-view counts. It sets no cookies, stores no personal identifiers, and the data never leaves our own infrastructure.
That is it. We do not run ads or third-party trackers, and we do not collect data about you from anyone else.
How we use it
Your email is used to verify your account and to send password reset links. Nothing else; no marketing mail.
Your game data is used to run the game: saving your progress and powering the shared world. Traces shown to other players never include your account identity.
Cookies
We set one essential session cookie so you stay signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
Who else touches your data
We use Resend to deliver account emails (verification and password resets), so your email address passes through them for delivery. If you sign in with itch.io, itch.io handles that authentication on their side under their own policies.
We never sell your data and we never share it with third parties for their own use.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account from the profile page at any time. This permanently deletes your account, characters, and save history.
We are happy to help with any data request; email admin@adventuresofrin.com and we will sort it out.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the date above.
